Sharing a report
Reports have no share links, and Qubit does not send or schedule reports by email. You share a report in two ways: members of your workspace open it from the Reports page, or you download its files and send them yourself.
Inside your workspace
Reports belong to the workspace, and members open them from Reports in the sidebar.
Each report is generated with the data access of the person who created it. Another member can open it only when their own access covers the data it used. If your workspace uses data permissions or row restrictions, a member with narrower access than the creator does not see the report in their list. See Access control.
A report built only from workspace documents is open to all members. Opening one of its Source documents still requires your current access to that document.
What each role can do with reports by default:
- Viewer: open, present, and download reports.
- Member: also edit slides.
- Owner and Admin: also change slides with typed instructions and the Polish, Fix layout, and Simplify actions.
Present in Qubit
Open the report and click Present to show the slides full screen. Use the arrow keys to move between slides, and press Esc to exit.
Send the files
Download the PowerPoint deck or the Excel workbook and send it yourself, for example by email. Recipients don't need a Qubit account to open the files. See Exporting to PowerPoint and Excel.
Delete a report
Click More report actions (the three dots) on a report's row, then Delete. The report is removed for everyone in the workspace right away, without a confirmation step, and can't be restored. To delete several reports, select their checkboxes and click Delete in the bar that appears. Qubit asks you to confirm first.
