Security & Privacy

The Security & Privacy section of your account settings is where you manage your password, two-factor authentication, linked sign-in accounts, and signed-in devices.

Change your password

  1. Click Change Password.
  2. Enter your Current Password.
  3. Enter a New Password and type it again.
  4. Click Update Password.

A password must have at least 8 characters. Workspaces can set stricter rules. The hint under New Password shows the rules that apply to you. If you belong to several workspaces with password policies, the strictest rules apply.

If you signed up with Google or Microsoft and have never set a password, this section shows Set password instead. Set one if you also want to sign in with your email address and password.

Two-factor authentication

Two-factor authentication asks for a 6-digit code from an authenticator app each time you sign in.

  1. Turn on Enable Two-Factor Authentication.
  2. In the Setup Two-Factor Authentication window, scan the QR code with an authenticator app such as Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, or Authy. If you cannot scan it, enter the key shown under the QR code into the app.
  3. Under Verify Setup, enter the 6-digit code from your app.
  4. Copy the Backup Codes with Copy All and store them somewhere safe. Do this before the next step, because the window closes when setup finishes.
  5. Click Verify & Enable.

To turn it off, switch off Enable Two-Factor Authentication, enter a current 6-digit code, and click Disable 2FA.

Linked accounts

Under Linked Accounts you can link a Google or Microsoft account. You can then sign in with Continue with Google or Continue with Microsoft on the sign-in page.

  1. Click Link next to the provider.
  2. Sign in to that provider and approve the request.

You can link one of the two providers at a time. To remove a link, click Unlink and confirm. If you have no password and this is your only linked account, Qubit will not let you unlink it, so set a password first.

Recognized devices

Recognized Devices lists the browsers where you are signed in. Each entry shows the browser and operating system, the IP address, and when the session started. Your current session is marked Currently logged in.

  • To sign out one device, click Logout next to it.
  • To sign out everywhere, click Logout All Devices.
