What is Qubit?

Qubit is an analytics platform with a built-in AI assistant. You connect your company's data, ask questions in plain language, and turn the answers into dashboards, reports, and scheduled tasks. Qubit works in English and Arabic.

You don't need to write SQL to use it. The assistant writes and runs the queries for you and shows its work when you want to check it.

The main parts

The assistant

The assistant opens in a panel beside any page. You can ask it about your data, and it answers with numbers, charts, tables, and a short explanation. It can also create and edit things for you, such as a dashboard, a report, a metric, or a draft scheduled task. You decide which of these it may change in your capability settings.

Dashboards, reports, and metrics

  • Dashboards are pages of charts that stay connected to your data. You can filter them, refresh them, and share them.
  • Reports are slide decks that Qubit writes from your data. You can edit the slides and download them as PowerPoint or Excel.
  • Metrics are shared definitions of your key numbers, such as revenue or active customers. The assistant uses them when it answers questions.

Insights and scheduled tasks

  • Insights are findings that Qubit produces by reviewing the charts in your workspace. Each one explains what Qubit noticed and can include a recommended action.
  • Scheduled tasks are automations that you build from steps. They can run on a schedule, collect data from the web or an API, check a metric, and send an email alert.

The Data Catalog and the semantic layer

The Data Catalog is where you connect databases and apps, upload files, and add documents. The semantic layer describes what your tables mean and how they relate to each other. The better your data is described, the more accurate the assistant's answers are.

How the parts fit together

  1. You connect data in the Data Catalog.
  2. You describe that data in the semantic layer and define your key metrics.
  3. The assistant uses those descriptions and definitions to answer questions.
  4. You save answers as dashboards and reports, and automate repeat work with scheduled tasks.
  5. Qubit reviews your dashboards and reports what it finds as insights.
