Browsing and running scheduled tasks
Open Tasks in the sidebar to see the scheduled tasks in your current workspace.
The scheduled task list
Each row shows the scheduled task's Name, Status, Runs (how many times it has run, failed runs included), and Last Run (how long ago it last ran, or Never). Click a name to open the scheduled task in the builder.
Type in Search scheduled tasks... to filter the list by name or description. On a phone, each scheduled task appears as a card. Tap a card to open it, or use its menu for the other actions.
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Draft | Saved and switched off. A schedule or webhook call does not start it. |
| Active | Switched on. Its schedule runs, and its webhook URL accepts calls. |
| Paused | Switched off after being active. A schedule or webhook call does not start it. |
| Running | A run is in progress. When it ends, the scheduled task returns to its previous status. |
| Error | Its schedule stopped because Qubit could not read its cron expression or timezone. See Setting a schedule. |
Row actions
The buttons at the end of each row are:
- Run Now (play button): starts a run. While a run is in progress, this button becomes Stop, which cancels the run.
- Edit (pencil): opens the scheduled task in the builder.
- View History: opens the scheduled task's execution history.
The menu at the end of the row repeats these actions and adds:
- Activate or Deactivate, shown for scheduled tasks with a Scheduled or Webhook trigger, or a Metric Trigger check interval. Activate checks the scheduled task first and shows an error if something is missing. Deactivate sets the status to Paused. See Setting a schedule.
- Delete, which removes the scheduled task and its run history after you confirm.
To delete several scheduled tasks at once, tick their checkboxes and click Delete in the bar that appears.
Running a scheduled task by hand
You can run a saved scheduled task at any time with Run Now. When the run ends, a message tells you whether it succeeded, finished with some steps not run, or failed. To follow a run step by step, open the scheduled task and click Run in the builder.
A scheduled task runs one at a time. While a run is in progress, Qubit refuses to start another run of the same scheduled task.
Plan limits
Your plan can limit how many scheduled tasks a workspace has. At the limit, New Scheduled Task is disabled and a banner asks you to upgrade. See Billing and subscription.
