What dashboards are
A dashboard in Qubit is a page of widgets, such as charts, tables, and KPI cards, that each run a query against your connected data. You find them under Dashboards in the sidebar.
What a dashboard contains
- Widgets: each widget shows the result of one query as a chart, a table, or a single number.
- Date range and filters: controls at the top of the dashboard that narrow what every widget shows.
- More actions menu: the menu at the top of the dashboard where you edit, refresh, share, embed, or open the dashboard in fullscreen.
How the data stays current
Each widget shows the result of its most recent query run. Every dashboard has a refresh schedule that runs all of its widgets again. New dashboards refresh daily, and you can change this to hourly, weekly, monthly, manual, or off. You can also re-run a single widget at any time.
Widgets run their queries with the access of the person viewing them, so your workspace's data access rules still apply on a dashboard. For more on those rules, see the access control guide.
