Exporting to PowerPoint and Excel
Every completed report has two files you can download: a PowerPoint deck (.pptx) and an Excel workbook (.xlsx). Qubit does not export reports as PDF. If you need a PDF, open the .pptx file in PowerPoint and save it as PDF from there.
Download a file
You can download from three places:
- In the Reports list, click More report actions (the three dots) on the report's row, then Download PPTX or Download Excel.
- In the Files column, click the slides icon or the Excel icon, then Download.
- In the slides viewer or the Excel viewer, click Download.
The file is named after the report title.
The PowerPoint deck
Qubit builds the .pptx from the slides as they are at the moment you download, so it includes your edits. Charts are PowerPoint charts, so you can edit them in PowerPoint.
The deck refers to your brand fonts by name. To edit it with the same fonts, install those fonts on the computer you use. Without them, the text stays readable in a substitute font.
The Excel workbook
The workbook holds the data tables behind the report, one table per sheet, and a sheet of key metrics when the report has them. It is created when the report is generated, so it does not change when you edit the slides.
To preview it, click the Excel icon in the Files column, then View. The preview shows the first 500 rows of each sheet. Download the file to see every row.
Data is from generation time
Both files contain the data as it was when the report was generated. Downloading again does not run new queries. To get current figures, create a new report.
