Google Sheets
Connect a Google spreadsheet by signing in with Google. Qubit loads each tab you choose as a table and refreshes it on a schedule. You do not need to share the sheet with a Qubit email address.
Before you start
- Use a Google account that can open the spreadsheet. Qubit asks Google for read-only access to your spreadsheets.
- Allow pop-ups for Qubit in your browser. Google's sign-in opens in a new tab.
Connect Google Sheets
- Open Data Catalog from the sidebar, click Add Data, then choose Connect a database.
- On the New Data Source page, click Google Sheets. It is under SaaS Apps.
- Enter a Connection Name.
- Next to Google, click Connect. Sign in with Google in the new tab and approve access. The tab closes and the form shows that you are connected to Google.
- In Spreadsheet link, paste the address of the spreadsheet from your browser.
- Optional: in Tabs to import, list the tab names separated by commas, for example
Sheet1, Orders. Leave it empty to import every tab. - Choose a Sync Schedule. The default is Daily.
- Click Create.
After you connect
Qubit starts the first sync and takes you to the Data Catalog. Each tab becomes a table. Qubit looks for the header row on each tab the same way it does for uploaded spreadsheets, so a tab with a title block or blank rows above the data still loads.
Each connection reads one spreadsheet. To sync another spreadsheet, create another connection.
