Qoyod
Connect your Qoyod company with an API key. Qubit imports your chart of accounts, sales, purchases, payments, inventory, and journal entries with read-only access.
Before you start
- In Qoyod, open Settings, then General Settings, and find the API key. Click Save so the key becomes active, then copy it.
- Each Qoyod company has its own key. To bring in more than one company, create a connection for each.
- A Qoyod API key is not limited to reading, so keep it private. Qubit only sends read requests with it.
Connect Qoyod
- Open Data Catalog from the sidebar, click Add Data, then choose Connect a database.
- On the New Data Source page, click Qoyod. It is under Accounting.
- Enter a Connection Name.
- Paste the key into API key.
- Choose a Sync Schedule. The default is Daily.
- Click Create.
What Qubit reads
| Records | What they hold |
|---|---|
| Accounts | The chart of accounts, with codes, types, and balances |
| Customers and vendors | Contact details and tax numbers |
| Products | Products and services, with prices and stock in each warehouse |
| Inventories | Warehouses and their addresses |
| Invoices and credit notes | Sales documents with their line items and payments |
| Bills and debit notes | Purchase documents with their line items and payments |
| Receipts | Money received from customers and paid to vendors |
| Invoice payments | The receipts applied to sales invoices |
| Journal entries | Every entry, with its debit and credit lines |
Invoice payments are the same records as the receipts received from customers, so do not add the two together. Amounts keep the exact decimal values that Qoyod sends.
After you connect
Qubit checks that the API key is filled in, saves the connection, and starts the first sync. It confirms that the key works during that sync.
To check the connection at any time, open its menu in the Data Catalog and choose Test connection. If Last sync shows Failed, hover over it to see the reason. If Qoyod rejects the key, save a new key in Qoyod, then edit the connection and paste it.
Each sync reads every record again, so edits and deletions in Qoyod appear after the next sync. Qoyod sends all journal entries in one response, so the first sync of a large ledger can take a few minutes.
