Google Analytics 4

Connect a Google Analytics 4 property by signing in with Google. Qubit has read-only access and syncs a set of daily reports from the property.

What Qubit syncs

Qubit pulls five daily reports:

  • Traffic by channel: sessions, users, new users, page views, engaged sessions, average session duration, bounce rate, conversions, and revenue.
  • Acquisition by source, medium, and campaign.
  • Page views by page path.
  • Sessions, users, conversions, and revenue by country and device.
  • Event counts by event name.

If your property does not collect one of these fields, Qubit leaves that field out and syncs the rest.

Before you start

  • Use a Google account with at least read access to the GA4 property.
  • Allow pop-ups for Qubit in your browser. Google's sign-in opens in a new tab.

Connect Google Analytics 4

  1. Open Data Catalog from the sidebar, click Add Data, then choose Connect a database.
  2. On the New Data Source page, click Google Analytics 4. It is under Paid Marketing.
  3. Enter a Connection Name.
  4. Next to Google Analytics, click Connect. Sign in with Google in the new tab and approve access. The tab closes when you are done.
  5. In GA4 property, choose the property to sync. You do not need to look up a property ID. Each connection syncs one property.
  6. Set Sync data since. Reports are synced from this date. It defaults to 30 days ago; earlier dates pull more history and take longer.
  7. Choose a Sync Schedule. The default is Daily.
  8. Click Create.

After you connect

Qubit starts the first sync and takes you to the Data Catalog. The reports appear as tables when the first sync completes.

Troubleshooting

  • If no properties are offered after you sign in, the Google account has no access to a GA4 property. Universal Analytics properties are not supported. Add the account as a user on the property, then connect again.
  • If the sign-in tab closes before you finish, or your browser blocks it, allow pop-ups for Qubit and click Connect again.
