Google Ads

Connect a Google Ads account by signing in with Google. Qubit syncs your campaigns and their daily performance. You do not need a developer token.

Before you start

  • Use a Google account that can access the Google Ads account, either directly or through a manager account.
  • Allow pop-ups for Qubit in your browser. Google's sign-in opens in a new tab.

Connect Google Ads

  1. Open Data Catalog from the sidebar, click Add Data, then choose Connect a database.
  2. On the New Data Source page, click Google Ads. It is under Paid Marketing.
  3. Enter a Connection Name.
  4. Next to Google Ads, click Connect. Sign in with Google in the new tab and approve access for Qubit. The tab closes when you are done.
  5. In Google Ads account, choose the account to sync. Each connection syncs one account.
  6. Set Start Date. Daily performance is synced from this date. It defaults to 30 days ago; earlier dates make the sync slower.
  7. Choose a Sync Schedule. The default is Daily.
  8. Click Create.

After you connect

Qubit starts the first sync and takes you to the Data Catalog. Ad platforms report performance one day at a time, so the first sync can take a while. If you open the connection before it finishes, you see First sync in progress, and the tables appear when the sync completes.

After a sync completes, Qubit also adds the account's daily spend, impressions, clicks, and conversions to a shared connection named Marketing Performance. It combines all your connected ad platforms so you can compare them side by side.

To sync another Google Ads account, create another connection. To use a different Google login, open the connection's menu, choose Edit, and click Change account.

Troubleshooting

  • If no accounts are offered after you sign in, the Google login has no access to a Google Ads account. Add it as a user in Google Ads, then connect again.
  • If the sign-in tab closes before you finish, or your browser blocks it, allow pop-ups for Qubit and click Connect again.
