Acting on an insight

Each insight card has two actions: Ask about this and Dismiss insight. You can also open the charts behind the finding, or run the analysis again.

Check the source charts

Under Sources, select a chart preview to open its dashboard. The insight's marker pulses briefly on the chart. Use your browser's back button to return to the same insight.

Ask the Assistant

Select Ask about this to start a new conversation with the Assistant. The message box is filled in with the insight's title, finding, and recommended action, followed by a line asking to dig deeper. Edit the message to ask your actual question, then send it.

The Assistant answers from your connected data, as in any other conversation. For example:

Dismiss an insight

Dismiss an insight when you have dealt with it or it isn't useful.

On an open card, select Dismiss insight.
In the table on the Insights page, select the dismiss icon at the end of the row.
To dismiss several at once, select their checkboxes, then select Dismiss insight in the bar that appears at the bottom of the page.

Dismissing removes the insight for everyone in the workspace. There is no list of dismissed insights and no way to restore one. By default, owners, admins, and members can dismiss insights. Viewers can't.

Run the analysis again

Select Refresh at the top of the Insights page to run the workspace review now, using the latest results of your charts. The button shows Refreshing while it works, which can take a few minutes. By default, only owners and admins can run it.

New findings are added to the list. When a run adds new findings, it also removes insights that have been in the list for more than seven days.

Manage insights from chat

The Assistant can read your insights. When Insights is turned on under What the assistant can change, it can also refresh them and dismiss the ones you no longer need, within your own workspace permissions. See Managing Insights and Capability toggles.
