Reading an insight card

Every insight is shown as a card. You find cards on the Insights page, under Recent insights on the Home page, and on dashboard charts.

The Insights page

Select Insights in the sidebar. On a larger screen, insights are listed in a table with these columns:

  • Severity: how urgent the finding is.
  • Category: the business area it belongs to.
  • Insight: the title.
  • Sources: how many charts the finding cites.
  • Created: when Qubit wrote it.

Critical insights appear at the top of each page. Select a row to open its card. On a phone, the list shows cards instead, and tapping a card expands it in place.

Use the controls above the list to narrow it down:

  • The category bar: All, Revenue, Operations, Customers, Product, Risk, Strategy, and General, each with a count.
  • Search insights, which matches words in the insight text.
  • The severity filter, set to All severities by default.
  • Filter tags, which appears when insights have tags.

Severity

  • Critical: a clear risk to revenue, retention, compliance, or safety that needs attention today.
  • Warning: an unfavorable trend worth reviewing this week.
  • Insight: a pattern worth knowing about, with no urgency.

The AI that writes the insight assigns its severity. An insight from a single chart is Warning when Qubit flags the change as an anomaly, and Insight otherwise. On the card, severity shows as a colored dot.

What a card contains

A closed card shows the severity dot, the title, the category, the first line of the finding, and the number of sources.

An open card adds:

  • The finding: one or two sentences with the specific numbers.
  • Recommended action: one suggested next step. Not every insight has one.
  • Tags: short labels such as Churn, Pricing, or Inventory, which you can filter by.
  • Sources: a live preview of each chart the finding cites, drawn from the chart's latest data. When the finding refers to a specific data point, the preview marks it. Select a preview to open that chart's dashboard. The marker pulses briefly so you can find it.
  • The Ask about this and Dismiss insight buttons. See Acting on an insight.

If a source chart can't be loaded, its preview shows Preview unavailable.

Insights on dashboards

  • Each chart that an insight cites shows a lightbulb badge. Hover over it to see how many insights reference the chart, and select it to read them, open their sources, or dismiss them.
  • When an insight refers to a specific data point, the chart shows a marker there. Hover over the marker to read the insight.
  • Select Fullscreen on a chart to see an Insights section below it with that chart's own findings. Each one shows its type (Anomaly or Info), the date, the finding, Evidence, Impact, and a confidence percentage. Select a finding to highlight its marker on the chart.
